We have only spent 1 night there so I cannot say much about the service.

The room was 3 stars, the location between Charles Bridge and Old square made up for the 4 star price.

The Hotel & Residence At The Black Star was so delightful we could quite happily have moved in! I would thoroughly recommend this charming and unusual residence, with its winding staircases, hidden terrraces and, above all, beautiful suites. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (I needed a needle and thread to sew on a button and they went out of their way to find some) and the breakfast service was fantastic - our fridge was replenished every day and there were at least ten different types of tea available! The hotel is also right slap bang in the middle of the old town, but located on a quiet side street.

we were delighted with the location, the quality of the accomodation - particularly liked the roof terrace- and the discreet but excellent service. It is also very quiet which was surprising as we were so near to the centre.

I was there 2 times. It's really exellent and with a great atmosphere.You feel to be in an other century, listening in the night the echoes from Praha Magica. The winery "the Black Star" was also a surprise: nice people, artist from around the world, live music and excellent Czeck wines.

Stayed at Black Star Residence end March 2005 - absolutely excellent !! Ideal location in the middle of the Old Town - between Charles Bridge and the Square. Accomodation was really lovely - modern and very clean but still retaining its old charm. We had de luxe suite so had small kitchen - ideal for a family or if you want more space. Surprised it was only 3 star as very superior - booked transport from airport also recommended.
