The hotel was great for the money. One of two complaints would be the noise level on Friday night into early Saturday morning. People talked all night long, and that made it difficult to sleep. It was warm, so we left the windows open. For the money and the location things could not have been any better. The last night we got to stay in a suite. It was a great room! It had a small livingroom with a side table. Just very inviting after a long day of walking the city. The restaurant was also really good. I think I had beef with noodles, and my quest had a pasta dish. We were both pleased with the quality and price.
Upon our arrival, we quickly were checked in and given a city map and our location on the map. Since we were travelling for 3 weeks, our luggage was somewhat heavy, and the gentleman working at the front desk graciously carried one of the bags up the satirs---there is no elevator.
The second of my complaints is that of the transportation service provided by the hotel. I paid for round trip to/from the train station up front. At the end of the stay, the driver took us to the train station and then asked to be paid. I commented that I had already prepaid, and he stated that I had not. So that cost me an extra 14Euro. And another driver charged too much for the ride to Old Town (close to the astronomical clock). The price at the hotel was 350Kc and he charged us 100Kc more. I made a comment about it and he said he would call the hotel for the right price. Some guy said the 450Kc, but upon further evaluation at the hotel that evening, it was in fact the 350Kc that I had thought it was. So beware of fares. Always ask in advance. Matter of fact, ask for a receipt if possible.
I love Prague and will defintely visit again. The hotel will always be on my list!!!!
